IFC Supports the 11th Russian Investment Symposium as an Institutional Partner
to Highlight Russia during the IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings

IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is pleased to announce that it will serve as an institutional partner to the International Economic Alliance's 11th Annual Russian Investment Symposium which is traditionally hosted in Boston. To coincide with the IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings, this year's Symposium will be held in Washington, D.C., on October 18-19, 2007. IFC and IEA, along with other partners, will cooperate closely to highlight Russia and viable opportunities for investment.

"IFC is pleased to continue supporting IEA's Russian Investment Symposium. This renowned platform will focus on Russia's rising global economic status during the IMF-World Bank meetings. While Russia has undergone important economic growth in recent years, this growth has yet to permeate all of the country's regions. There are great opportunities for entrepreneurs to tackle." said Edward Nassim, IFC Vice President for Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
"As leaders in government and banking descend on Washington for the IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings, IEA's Russian Investment Symposium, working with IFC as an institutional partner, will be able to spotlight Russia on the world's stage," said Van McCormick, Director of IEA. "This Symposium will be a unique gathering of senior leaders in finance, policy, academics, and business-all in one dynamic, must-attend event."
