Harvard Breakfast Recap

On Wednesday, June 8th, US-Russia Chamber of Commerce of New England in conjunction with UFG Asset Management and the Harvard Club of Boston had the pleasure of hosting a breakfast presentation by Deutsche Bank Russia’s Chief Economist & Central Bank advisor, Mr. Yaroslav Lissovolik. Over sixty members and guests attended this standing-room-only event.
Mr. Lissovolik shared his views on the Russia’s forthcoming World Trade Organization accession, which he projected would conclude by the end of this year, Kremlin politics and the improved investment climate. Mr. Lissovolik made the bold prediction that Dmitry Medvedev will retain his position as Russia’s President after the upcoming spring 2012 elections. In his address, Mr. Lissovolik gave an overview of Russian economy and addressed a few concerns related to the issues of corruption and resource-based economy.
Members and friends of the Chamber participated in the discussion during the post-presentation Q&A session, followed by a brief networking opportunity.
